After I have been experimented with figurative painting for more than 20 years, I was intrigued by going into the third dimension. At first, it was in the form of lifecasts made of gypsum.

Later on, I have also looked for a mouldable medium in order to turn my free ideas plastically into spatial objects. As I tried papier-mâché in 2007, I knew it immediately: THIS WAS IT!

It was love at first sight. Since then, I have lived with papier-mâché “in a steady relationship” and am keen on this technique and its possibilities. I cannot get rid from the fascination by papier-mâché anymore and I have a feeling that a long artistic voyage of discovery is still awaiting me.
